We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic professional with strong business development and leadership skills, and a proven track record of shaping and closing complex ERP-centred software and service sales. Drawing on your sales and service delivery experience (ideally from another professional services firm, ERP implementation partner, or SaaS vendor), you will be a key contributor to the company’s growth across a set of key accounts in the Food & Beverage, Distribution, Manufacturing, and Retail verticals. You will be part of a team of highly experienced sales, solution design, and service delivery professionals, and will be trusted to identify and shape the right solution and delivery roadmap for each of your accounts.

About this role:

  • Lead and direct the development and implementation of sales plans and initiatives delegated to you, and coordinate direct and indirect sales efforts with both ComActivity and vendor colleagues.
  • Manage, monitor, and control a stable and steady pipeline of software and services opportunities, and help identify risks and corrective actions required to ensure commercial targets are met.
  • Use consultative and solution selling skills to intrinsically understand each client’s business challenges and create opportunities for ComActivity to address using our market-leading offerings and solutions.
  • Prepare, present, and keep up to date recurring forecasts, account plan sales reports as required.
  • Together with the rest of the sales and account management team, help drive and oversee the company’s management of new and existing customers, client-side vendor selection firms, key software vendors, as well as service delivery partners.

What will your typical week look like?

  • Monitor, prioritise, and drive activities and pre-sales deliverables across a portfolio of bids, all at different stages in our sales pipeline.
  • Work on the full sales cycle – communicate with key stakeholders, management and delivery of compelling RFP/RFI/RFQ responses, structure delivery roadmaps, negotiate and close deals.
  • Coordinate and follow-up pre-sales activities and delivery work for existing accounts, and liaise with clients as needed in case of escalations or new requests.
  • Ensure client success – build and manage relationships, interact with key client stakeholders.

About you:

You will have a passion for technology enablement, commercial acumen, and experience from selling and delivering enterprise solutions that consist of both software and service components. This is a unique and rare opportunity ready for an energetic and excited sales professional who wants to take their career to the next level in this mixed business development / account management role.

  • A leader able to a manage both new and existing client relationships supported by a dynamic team of pre-sale and delivery professionals.
  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience from either IT consulting or software firms, ideally in a mix of roles across sales and service delivery (working on both ERP implementation and system integration projects, as well as service delivery to mid-size and enterprise clients.
  • Proven track record successfully selling cloud or on-premise business system solutions and projects that span both ERP systems and edge applications, with the ability to oversee and negotiate pricing and contractual terms to close sometimes lengthy, complex sales.
  • A strong understanding of one or more of the Food & Beverage, Distribution, Manufacturing or Retail industries in Australia and New Zealand.
  • Ability to discuss challenges and opportunities with current customers, and shape new deals as appropriate to address these in partnership with each customer.
  • Ability to identify new customers to grow the business, establish senior level relationships and help customers select the right solution and set of services from ComActivity’s solution catalogue.
  • An innovative, entrepreneurial mindset and excellent written and verbal communication skills, as this role will in part involve leading the development and refinement of pre-sales collateral used across ComActivity’s end-to-end solution offerings.
  • Willingness to travel to client and partner sites, as well as ComActivity offices around Australia and New Zealand as appropriate.
