We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic sales professional with strong business development and leadership skills, and a proven track record of shaping and closing complex ERP-centred software and service sales.

Drawing on your sales experience (ideally from another professional services firm, ERP implementation partner, or SaaS vendor), you will lead the company’s growth across a set of key accounts in the Food & Beverage, Distribution, Manufacturing, and Retail verticals. You will be supported by a team of highly experienced sales, solution design, and service delivery professionals, and will be given great freedom to shape and refine our evolving go-to-market strategy.

About this role:

  • Lead and direct the development and implementation of strategic sales plans and initiatives and coordinate the sales team’s direct and indirect sales efforts across both current and new accounts.
  • Manage and grow an existing and stable steady pipeline of software and service sale opportunities.
  • Drive and oversee the company’s management of new and existing customers, client-side vendor selection firms, key software vendors, as well as service delivery partners.
  • Use consultative and solution selling skills to intrinsically understand client’s business challenges and create opportunities for ComActivity to address using our market-leading offerings and solutions.
  • Prepare and present strategic plans, reports, sales budgets, forecasts and other reports required.
  • Mentor and grow the next generation of leaders across our Australian and New Zealand offices.

What will your typical week look like?

  • Monitor, prioritise, and drive activities and pre-sales deliverables across a portfolio of bids, all at different stages in our sales pipeline.
  • Work on the full sales cycle – communicate with key stakeholders, management and delivery of compelling RFP/RFI/RFQ responses, structure delivery roadmaps, negotiate and close deals
  • Manage clients and partners – build and manage relationships, interact with key client stakeholders

About you:

You will have a passion for technology enablement, strong commercial knowledge, and a track record of success with selling complex, high value enterprise solutions.

  • A proven track record successfully selling cloud or on-premise business system solutions that span both ERP systems and edge applications, with the ability to negotiate pricing and contractual terms to close sometimes lengthy, complex sales.
  • A leader able to provide coaching and support to a dynamic team of professionals.
  • Experience from either IT consulting or software firms, ideally in a mix of roles across sales and service delivery (working on both ERP implementation and system integration projects, as well as managed service delivery to mid-size and enterprise clients.
  • Ability to nurture and grow new opportunities from an initial lead through to a closed deal, both with leads coming to the company as referrals from partners and friends, and leads generated through our own market outreach activities.
  • Ability to work with in-house and external marketing and communications colleagues to guide and oversee both broad and targeted marketing activities as required to feed the company’s sales pipeline.
  • A strong understanding of one or more of the Food & Beverage, Distribution, Manufacturing or Retail industries in Australia and New Zealand.
  • Proven track record for delivering a healthy gross margin with consistent growth on a yearly basis.
  • Ability to identify new customers to grow the business, establish senior level relationships and helping customers select the right solution and set of services from ComActivity’s solution catalogue.
  • An innovative, entrepreneurial mindset and excellent written and verbal communication skills, as this role will in part involve leading the development and refinement of pre-sales collateral used across ComActivity’s end-to-end solution offerings.
