A wizard solution takes on a life of its own

A year or so back, our resident data guru, Craig Fell, developed a handy tool to help one of our customers tackle the problem of migrating bulk data into M3, and ever since it’s taken on a life of it’s own.

The tool is an Excel add-in, and is a complete data management tool. It is famous within our own team, and we regularly introduce it to customers, but internally we have referred to it until now simply as “Craig’s Data Tool”. Realising this was probably not a name we could take to market on a broader scale, we recently rebranded it with a clearer descriptive name, and it’s now formally known as the ComActivity M3 Data Wizard, simply because it is a wizard tool.

Our customers most commonly use it to load data into M3 quickly, accurately and efficiently, but it is also used for data integrity checks and data updates.

Essential part of the M3 Arsenal

Sean Kenny, the General Manager of Group IT Services at Cellnet Group says “The data wizard is one of the most important and frequently used tools in our M3 arsenal.
