Infor Document Management (IDM) is an integrated end-to-end solution, bundled with a secure content repository. It enables you to consolidate your business documents, whilst enforcing your common practices around governing document permissions.

Enhanced Document Capture Technology

Infor has partnered with industry leader Ephesoft, to ramp up its IDM offering with some really clever document capture technology. Smart Capture™ utilizes optical character recognition (OCR) and intelligent character recognition (ICR) capabilities to enable a more complete and improved document capture process.

The document capture capabilities mean that you can automate the data capture for incoming documents (typically invoices) from a myriad of sources. It identifies the type of document, extracts the right data, and you can store an image file of the document together with the data.

Later, when looking at the invoice in your invoice matching program, the scanned document is also there to view.

 

 

Standard Web Browser Access

The technology enables users to scan and connect to  documents through a standard web browser, without having to install software on laptops or desktops.

Improved Accuracy and Visibility

The capture technology gives faster, easier access to document information, in the right context. As part of the IDM offering, it will connect your documents directly to your core business systems, which should optimize your decision making.

Accuracy will be improved because the automated process will reduce document ID and keying errors.

Improved Productivity

The smart capture technology reduces the labour requirement of manual sorting, identifying documents and data key entry. Business processes will be sped up by identifying ducument types and information.Using basic set up and configuration, you can ‘train’ the tool according to your business requirements. According to Ephesoft, some customers improve productivity by as much as 75%.
